Caroline Hohlman DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Hohlman received her veterinary degree from Auburn University in 2018. Although she initially aspired to be a dairy veterinarian, she soon realized that the early 4 a.m. wake-up calls didn’t allow for adequate coffee intake. It was during her final year in veterinary school that she discovered her passion for oncology and the meaningful patient connections it offered.

After graduating, Dr. Hohlman completed a general rotating internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury, followed by a specialized oncology internship at Washington State University. Post-internship, she chose to remain at WSU to pursue her oncology residency and master’s degree. She has since returned to New York to be closer to her family and relish in the joys of waterfront living once more.

Dr. Hohlman is passionate about connecting with both her patients and their families, as well as creating tailored protocols for each pet to ensure that a focus on their quality of life is the priority. While she finds all the intricacies of oncology fascinating, she is particularly captivated by histiocytic sarcomas. In her free time, she indulges in her love for travel, often accompanied by her Black Lab mix, Finn, enjoys running and dedicates time to nurturing her collection of plants.
