When Advanced Imaging Meets Expert Care

Diagnostic Imaging at VSEC

At Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center, advanced imaging plays a critical role in helping us diagnose complex conditions quickly and accurately — especially in urgent and emergency situations. Our on-site imaging capabilities allow our team to see beyond the surface, guiding timely treatment decisions when pets need care the most.

We offer ultrasound, CT (computed tomography), and X-ray, all performed by our team of experienced veterinarians and supported by skilled nursing staff. Our advanced modalities allow for a deeper, more detailed evaluation of many medical and surgical conditions.

Advanced Diagnostics, When Time Matters Most

For pets experiencing acute illness, trauma, or unexplained symptoms, advanced imaging can be essential. Having these tools available 24/7 means faster answers, fewer delays, and more coordinated care — all under one roof.

Our imaging services are commonly used to evaluate:

  • Internal injuries and complex trauma

  • Gastrointestinal disorders and foreign bodies

  • Tumors, masses, and cancer staging

  • Organ abnormalities affecting the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and more

Our Advanced Imaging Services

Ultrasound

Veterinary ultrasound provides real-time, non-invasive imaging of internal organs and soft tissues. It is especially valuable for evaluating abdominal and thoracic conditions, guiding diagnostic sampling, and monitoring disease progression.

CT Scan (Computed Tomography)

CT imaging delivers highly detailed, cross-sectional images that are critical for diagnosing complex conditions, planning surgery, and staging cancer. CT scans are particularly helpful for neurologic cases, nasal disease, orthopedic injuries, and trauma patients.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy allows our specialists to visualize the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, and other internal structures with a small camera. This approach can reduce the need for exploratory surgery and often leads to faster recovery times.

X-ray (Digital Radiography)

Digital X-ray imaging provides fast, reliable insight into bones, joints, and internal structures. It is often a first-line diagnostic tool for evaluating fractures, arthritis, chest and abdominal conditions, and foreign body ingestion. Our advanced digital radiography allows for clear images with minimal exposure, helping our team make timely, informed decisions—especially in emergency situations.
